Types of Licenses in UAQ Free Zone
An UAQ Free Zone Company can operate under the following types of licenses:
Commercial License
Import, export, distribution, and storage of items specified on the license. Can have 3 different product lines or 10 similar product lines.
General Trading License
Trade in a wider range of activities, with freedom to trade in any commodity permitted within the UAE.
Consultancy License
For entities offering expert or professional advice, issued to professionals including artisans. Allows two similar activities.
Freelance Permit
Allows an individual to operate as a freelance professional under their own name.
Industrial License
For importing raw materials, manufacturing/processing products, and exporting the finished product.
Service License
Carry out services specified on the license such as logistics, courier services, and car rentals.
Legal Entities Under UAQ FTZ
UAQ Free Zone offers the following types of legal entities for businesses:
Free Zone Establishment (FZE)
A single shareholder business entity within the Free Zone.
Free Zone Company (FZC)

Visas for Dependents

UAQ Company Liquidation
Company liquidation requires either a personal presence of the owner or a visit of a PoA holder. You will need to return all original documents of the company to UAQ, make the payments, and wait about 1 month for the procedure to be completed.
The Liquidation Procedure

1. Provide Obligatory Documents:
- Deregistration form
- Visa cancellation form
- Copies of passports and visas for all visa holders
- Shareholder resolution signed by shareholders stating the reason for liquidation

2. Pay Cancellation Fees:
- License cancellation - 3,000 AED
- Establishment card cancellation - 250 AED
- Visa cancellation - 350 AED per visa (if the applicant is inside the UAE, otherwise 600 AED)
- 3. Advertisement in the Newspaper: An advertisement is placed for 15 calendar days announcing the liquidation of your company.
- 4. Shareholder Visa Cancellation: The process of visa cancellation starts (4-5 days).
- 5. Deregistration Confirmation: A deregistration letter is sent to your email confirming the cancellation of your company.
Note: The entire liquidation process may take around 1 month to complete, depending on the completeness of the documents and timely payments.
